DIFFERENT GENERATIONS, DIFFERENT MENTALITIES. WHAT GEN Z IS ACTUALLY REVOLUTIONIZING?

In the current work’s world, there are many different generations that work and get along together pretty well. Each generation is unique in its own way and bring values of work and labor, based on how and in what social and political environment they grew up.
Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, is entering the job market with an original perspective that challenges the traditional ethics . Their approach is focused on ambition and a willing to make progress.
First of all, it’s important to do a general
overview of the job market. The first generation, Generation X, have created stability and a sense of duty in the workplace. Millennials entered the work world with news of flexibility and innovation.However Gen Z is different. It is living during a period of economic and technological development, but marked by deep crises at a human level. We grew up already using cellphones, so with a huge technological advance, but at the same time we witness global uncertainty.
For this generation, work is also self-balance. It is not just about duty and innovation; it is about making a real impact in today’s world. Right now we have everything and nothing new, thanks to the enormous discoveries of men. Therefore, there is a need to really differentiate ourselves, in order to stand out among others.
But what does Gen Z really bring to the market?

  • Purpose and Values. Gen Z wants to work just for firms who are connected with their values and with their ethics. They are deeply concerned about issues such as sustainability, diversity, and social justice.
  • Technological importance. Being born in the digital age, they are quick to adapt to new technologies. Their tech skills often lead to efficiency in the workplace.
  • Focus on Mental Health and Well-being. Previous generations used to not talk about these topics and their focus was just on the work. Gen z wants the best for the employers and helps them to be mental stable by working in an healthy environment.

just think about the very high demand for work in various companies. I know people in companies who are looking for new things and people who can adapt easily. For this reason they see young people as a resource for their work.

the important thing is that there is balance at work, among the young employees and the employers who are perhaps of a different age.
